Keep and sync your files using locations supported in iPadOS Files or macOS Finder.
Made to be useful, not to upsell you. The code will be published on GitHub soon.
Dark by design. Cyan where it counts. Fast access to your folders, files, and tags, with your writing front and center.
No special setup rituals. Your existing files already have a home.
Select a folder from Files on iPad or Finder on Mac. Notation works with the text files you already own.
Write notes, work with code, and attach custom tags to keep things easy to find.
Use local storage or a compatible storage provider. Your existing file storage and syncing workflow stays yours.
Notation opens ordinary files in ordinary folders. Your editor shouldn't dictate your cloud provider, your operating system, or whether you can take your own work somewhere else.
Notation is free, and its source code is coming to GitHub. No repository link yet. When it's ready, you'll be able to inspect the code and follow development.
